As a Catering Assistant, you’ll play an important part in creating those moments every day.
Job Description
What will you be doing?
Working alongside our catering team, you’ll help prepare, serve and present meals while making sure our residents and visitors receive friendly, genuine service.
Your day could include:
Preparing and presenting meals with care
Serving residents with a friendly smile
Assisting with meal service in our dining areas
Helping the kitchen team during busy periods
Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and welcoming
Following food safety and hygiene standards
Supporting the team with whatever is needed to keep service running smoothly
Most importantly, helping create a positive dining experience for our residents
No two days are exactly the same — but every day, you’ll make a difference.
When will you work?
This is a casual position, so we’re looking for people who can offer flexibility across a variety of shifts.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re available across:
Weekdays
Weekends
Public holidays
Evening shifts until 7:30pm — highly desirable
Desired Skills and Experience
Is this you?
You’ll fit right in if you:
Have experience in Catering in the Aged Care, Retirement Living or Hospital industry
Experience in hospitality or food service
Experience in safe food handling
Enjoy working with people and being part of a team
Have a positive, can-do attitude
Take pride in your work
Enjoy hospitality, food service or customer service
Can stay calm and organised when things get busy
Care about providing a great experience for others
Want a job where what you do actually matters
Experience is great, but attitude matters too!
Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:
Working with modified diets or knowledge of IDDSI
Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate
