About the Role
We are looking for a warm, friendly, and customer-focused Casual Coffee Bar Assistant to join our Catering Team. Based in our vibrant Village coffee bar, you will help create a welcoming space for residents, visitors, and community members by preparing high-quality beverages, serving simple meals, and delivering exceptional service.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hospitality, values genuine connection, and is looking to work in a supportive, community-oriented environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing and serving coffees, drinks, and light meals to a high standard
Delivering warm, professional customer service to residents, families, and visitors
Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic café and kitchen environment
Restocking ingredients and supplies to keep the coffee bar running smoothly
Working collaboratively with the Coffee Bar Team Leader and the Catering Team
Ensuring food safety and WHS standards are always followed
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience in hospitality, customer service, or café environments
Ability to prepare and present food and beverages to a high standard
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and safe work practices
Friendly communication skills and a resident-focused mindset
Ability to work well within a team and take initiative
Confidence with EFTPOS and cash handling
Desirable:
Barista skills or relevant hospitality training
Experience working in aged care, cafés, hotels, or similar environments

Current First Aid and CPR
