The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our friendly and collaborative Finance Team. Based in our office on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula, this 4-month fixed term role plays a key part in ensuring BallyCara’s financial operations run smoothly and accurately.
You will contribute to efficient service delivery by processing supplier invoices, managing payment runs, resolving queries, and supporting key financial functions across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing
Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently (minimum 12 per hour)
Responding to internal and external accounts queries within required timeframes
Managing payment scheduling and performing payment runs
Processing client expense reimbursements
Maintaining supplier data and ensuring compliance with audit requirements
Assisting with accounts receivable and monthly credit card reconciliations
Supporting reporting requirements and contributing to process improvement initiatives
Working collaboratively with the Finance Team and wider organisation
Participating in business improvement and ad-hoc finance projects
Desired Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
Experience in a high-volume finance officer environment
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical, numeracy, and time-management skills
Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
Tertiary qualifications relevant to finance or accounting
Ability to present financial information clearly and confidently
Experience with OCR systems and an understanding of audit, compliance, and reporting requirements
Awareness of financial risk and ability to recommend mitigation strategies
Desirable:
Experience in the not-for-profit, aged care, disability, or wellness sectors
An understanding of services for older people
