Job Description

We are now seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our HomeCare team in Bundoora as a Community Workforce Team Leader for a full-time 6 month fixed-term contract (with view to permanency). If you're passionate about quality service, people leadership, and making a real difference in your community — this role is for you!

About the Role

Reporting to the Community Workforce Coordinator, you’ll play a key leadership role by:

  • Supporting, mentoring, and overseeing a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers
  • Ensuring high standards of care are delivered to our homecare clients across the region
  • Leading staff performance, peer support visits, and service troubleshooting
  • Participating in recruitment and onboarding of new Support Workers
  • Collaborating closely with Care Partners, Coordinators, and rostering teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Championing our SONA® (Happiness) values and promoting workforce wellbeing and engagement

Desired Skills and Experience

Must-Haves – We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven leadership experience with a team of Support Workers in community or aged care settings is essential
  • People management capability — able to lead and support a diverse team
  • Strong computer skills, including using documentation systems
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or related field
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • COVID 19 vaccination and influenza vaccination encouraged

Highly desirable – It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Experience in a similar Team Leader or Coordinator role
  • Effective time management and task prioritisation skills
  • Confidence in conflict resolution and troubleshooting staff or client issues
