The Role — Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you’ll help our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing in their own homes by providing:
Personal care, mobility assistance, and help with daily household tasks
Social support and encouragement to participate in community and wellness activities
Safe transportation to appointments and social outings (paid mileage provided)
Regular updates to your Team Leader on client needs and progress
You’ll work in a localised area, travelling between clients across the Logan and Gold Coast regions.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You — Who We’re Looking For
You’re a caring, motivated individual with:
A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Community Services (or current Nursing student with completed Aged Care placements)
Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Services
Availability to work Monday to Friday and to participate in an on-call roster
Able to work in the community across the Logan and Gold Coast regions
Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills
A genuine passion for supporting older people with empathy and respect
A current Driver’s License and reliable comprehensively insured vehicle suitable to transport elderly clients
A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Double COVID-19 vaccination
