Are you a creative organiser who loves bringing people together? BallyCara is seeking an enthusiastic and relationship-driven Village Lifestyle & Events Officer to join our vibrant team on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula.
About the Role
As our Village Lifestyle & Events Officer, you’ll be at the centre of our Village life — designing and delivering engaging activities, events and social functions that promote wellness, inclusion, and fun. Reporting directly to the Village General Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers to bring your creative vision to life while staying within budget.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can confidently host events, and is passionate about enhancing the lives of older Australians.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and host a variety of lifestyle and community events
• Promote engagement and wellbeing through inclusive, resident-centred activities
• Develop and manage event budgets to ensure financial sustainability
• Liaise with entertainers, catering providers, transport services and community groups
• Communicate professionally and warmly with residents, families, and staff
• Support reception and general Village operations when needed
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Certificate IV qualification or minimum 2 years’ experience in aged care or retirement living
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
• Budgeting experience with an eye for detail and creativity
Desirable:
• Experience in retirement living, aged care or community services
You will also need:
• National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification
• COVID-19 vaccinations X 2
• Australian Driver’s Licence
